If you’ve got a spare $2.1 million sitting in your couch, you could soon be the owner of Carson Palmer’s old house. Joe Reedy has the highlights of the listing, a five-bedroom, two-story house in Indian Hill. In my mind, simply putting the house up for sale doesn’t really give a true indication of Palmer’s intentions for 2011. Lots of players keep a permanent residence outside the city they play in.
Still, as Marvin Lewis has already stated, Cincinnati needs to move on and prepare for life without Palmer. Thus, the team must draft a quarterback capable of being a franchise player, which translates into a pick in the top three rounds. CincyJungle favors Florida State’s Christian Ponder. I like TCU’s Andy Dalton.
One thing’s for sure. A new quarterback will be moving into the Queen City. If he gets his wish, Palmer will be moving out (I’d still like to see him back, unlikely as that may be). But if you send him a low-ball offer, perhaps you can have his house.
Move on up.
