NFL, Union determined to ruin offseason

The NFL made a last ditch effort to come to an agreement with the NFLPA, but it was rejected and the union decertified late yesterday, which was followed by the official beginning of the lockout just after midnight.

The arrogance of the NFL

Ok fans, the NFL and (former) NFLPA has spoken and they said loud and clear: YOU DON’T MATTER.     I am not going to dig too deep into the issues, we all know what is going on. The base line of the whole thing is that these two groups feel that they are so […]

NFLPA files for decertification in Minnesota

Per twitter, it seems the players have filed for decertification.  What does this mean in lay terms? Really, it is posturing so that the players union as a group can not be locked out by the owners.   I have said many times, the fans are the only real losers in this battle.  So now, […]

News on the Labor deal

With the deadline for a deal approaching I wanted to revisit what we all hope happens.  A freaking deal gets done.  Every NFL site I read is focused on every tweet and morsel of news that has come out of the meetings.  We all know the real movement comes when the clock is ticking, so this week […]

On The Clock: Picks 9 – 10

All week we have been revealing picks from my mock draft. On the clock today are picks 9 – 10. To recap:

On The Clock: Picks 7 – 8

On The Clock: Picks 5 – 6

All week we have been revealing picks from my mock draft. On the clock today are picks 5 – 6. To recap:

On The Clock: Picks 3 – 4

The NFL and Players Union continue working toward a new CBA, inching closer to a new deal, a lockout, or another extension. If I had to guess, they will extend the deadline yet again. In the meantime, I am working through a mock draft with my draft guru Alex helping talk sense into me when […]

On The Clock: Picks 1 – 2

With the NFL and the NFLPA agreeing to a week long extension of the labor talks and the Scouting Combine just completed, it seemed like an opportune time to put together a mock draft. I enlisted one of the most knowledgeable NFL fans I know, big Al, to help me work through the picks. Today, […]

Gregg Doyel likes to stir the pot

So Gregg Doyel writes an article calling Carson Palmer a baby. Really he said he is like a spoiled kid, taking his ball and going home.  He starts the article by listing some great NFL players that hung it up for different reasons and why they are all better than Palmer.  He even lists Barry […]
