The Ochocinco Saga

The Bengals should not let Chad Ochocinco walk away without getting something in return.

Chad Ochocinco sent an interesting Tweet into cyberspace today, ending it with “EAGLES” in all caps. Clearly, Ochocinco wants out of Cincy. I think it’s best for the team to move on as well. But will the Bengals get anything for him? Ochocinco, for all his antics, is still is a quality wide receiver and the Bengals should not release him without getting something in return. But, we know that wisdom isn’t always the prevailing procedure around here.

Something should happen soon, even though Marvin Lewis expects him to be in camp. And even though T.O. is gone, I’d grab some popcorn. Something tells me Ochocinco’s exit – if it happens – will be just as filled with drama as his career in stripes.

Stay tuned.

  1. Brennen says:

I think he is saying that to mess with people. He plays mind games with people in his tweets

  2. I think Chad will flirt and tweet with any team that would take him. But the Eagles might actually have some interest considering that Desean Jackson might hold out.

  3. Was he mentioning his desire to play for the Eagles, or is the song “Hotel California” what he must be thinking of Cincy? Is this not his relationship with the Bengals?:

“You can checkout any time you like,
    But you can never leave”

  4. I hope he comes back personally.
