Max Starks Cut By Steelers

Will the Bengals pursue Max Starks after he is cut by the Steelers?

In what was a somewhat surprising move, Max Starks was informed that he will be released by the hated Steelers.  Starks, the biological son of former Notre Dame (you’re welcome Seubs) and Bengals great Ross Browner, was a third round pick of the Steelers in the 2004 NFL draft and his name was often mentioned as a player the Bengals were interested in.  Starks played in only 7 games last season before an injury ended his season.  The Bengals, ultra low profile as usual during the start of free agency, have a ton of money to spend this season and the new CBA dictates that they must meet a minimum salary, so perhaps they will take a flyer on the 6’8″ behemoth who was reported by ProFootballTalk to be tipping the scales at nearly 400 pounds. Perhaps he found the weight that Andre Smith has reportedly lost.

WhoDey!

I think the Bengals would be better served if they could find a versatile guard. They should be okay at tackle.
