Tailgate Talk: Brownies

Drop the tailgate, it's time for some football.

Here at Who Dey Fans, we try to create fun and festive atmospheres for all the long-suffering Bengals fans like ourselves. And what’s more fun or festive than a Sunday tailgate, when a win seems possible, beverages go down easy, and aggravation hasn’t arrived yet?

So with that in mind, allow us to introduce another weekly feature, “Tailgate Talk,” where we bring up the things you’ll be talking about on Sunday. It’s all the fun and excitement of a Sunday tailgate, arriving just a few days early.

Feel free to add your own thoughts. Here are ours:

-How will Andy Dalton look in his first career start? Can he start fast for once?

-How will Clint Boling hold up? Will there be a huge dropoff from Bobbie Williams?

-Can the Bengals offensive line dominate? The Browns are starting three rookies on the defensive line and their linebackers are banged up.

-Will Carlos Dunlap be 100-percent? Browns right tackle Tony Pashos was in a walking boot Wednesday, and could be exposed if Dunlap is at full speed.

-Can the Bengals avoid costly mistakes and critical penalties? The team’s lack of discipline has often hindered its chances of winning.

-How will Cedric Benson perform after getting released from prison just last week?

-How will Colt McCoy handle a revamped Bengals defense? Can Cincinnati provide enough pressure to keep him from getting comfortable?

-Who wins on special teams? Does new Bengal Brandon Tate make any big plays?

-Is this game worth watching? The national media won’t be paying much attention, but we will. Will this game showcase teams on the rise or rebuilding units headed for more mediocrity?

-Will A.J. Green or Jerome Simpson catch a deep ball? The Browns will load up against the run and likely give the Bengals some chances to beat them deep. Can they do it?

Hopefully, all the answers favor the Bengals.

Who Dey.

Enjoy the game.
