Update: A load of Broncos starters, including high-profile players Champ Bailey, Brandon Lloyd, Knowshon Moreno and D.J. Williams will be inactive for the Bengals game. Cincinnati needs to take advantage of what amounts to a Broncos second-tier team.
The Bengals head into the high-altitude of Denver as 3.5-point underdogs according to SportsInteraction. A few interesting matchups to watch will be: 1) The Bengals running game against a Denver defense that gave up almost five yards a carry to Oakland and 2) Kyle Orton, who also struggled in the opener, against the Bengals secondary.
Over at ESPN, all the experts except for Eric Allen are picking the Broncos.
Here’s the advance scouting report from ESPN Insider.
If the Bengals can somehow, some way, win, they will be set up for success with a favorable schedule and some home games following in the coming weeks.
Enjoy the game.
