Check out a rather svelte Carson Palmer at his first press conference as a Raider. Palmer deserves some credit for taking the high road out of Cincinnati and being rather complimentary about his former team and their fans.

-Let’s be honest. If reports are accurate that the 2013 draft pick the Bengals receive only elevates to a first-round pick if the Raiders win a divisional round playoff game, it’s extremely unlikely that Cincinnati is getting two first-round picks in the trade. I’d put the odds at 5-percent. So the Bengals are getting a […]
A few days ago, hardly anyone could have envisioned the events that would conspire to create such a healthy ransom for Carson Palmer. Consider this: 1) A starting quarterback (Jason Campbell) became injured for an extended amount of time, his entire season in jeopardy 2) That quarterback played for a team in playoff contention, a […]
Lost a bit in the shuffle of today’s super awesome, terrific, fantastic and NOT surprising news about Carson Palmer (totally called it! Score!), is this little nugget on PFT.com: The NFL has reduced the suspension of Bengals running back Cedric Benson to one game. He’ll miss the teams post-bye trip to Seattle. Benson will miss the Seahawks game, […]
Many Bengals fans find it as hard to say something nice about Mike Brown as it is for most Clevelanders to say something nice about LeBron James. But today, the day that the Immovable Object relented and traded Carson Palmer to Oakland, he deserves to be credited for putting his stubbornness aside, for recognizing an […]
Week six of fantasy football saw my Striped Nightmare eek out another close win vs Sack Lunch. That is five in a row for those counting at home. Siegfried and Rey probably sat up most of Monday night rooting for the Jets, and Shon Green paid off as he was able to slip past Blue […]
Schefter vis Twitter: Carson Palmer to the Raiders now official. Compensation expected to be a 1 in 2012 and a conditional 1 in 2013. Who Freaking Dey. And the Bengals play the Raiders next season in the jungle.
A move like this makes it seem as though the Al Davis legacy is still running strong. In my opinion this is an overpayment based on the fact that the starting QB for the Raiders was injured for the season and the Raiders want the best available guy out there. If all the reports are […]
Jay Glazer on Twitter says the following: The Raiders & Bengals are close to a trade that would send Carson Palmer to OAK for a first-rounder in 2012 and a conditional pick in future The Bengals would be crazy to turn down a first round pick for Carson at this point. A first round pick […]
Earlier in the year the Bengals organization said that would not pick Andre Smith’s contract option; after not allowing a sack against one of the leagues best pass rushers (Mathis), do you think we should pick up his contract option? No question Andre Smith is a better player this season than any other time. After […]
