Bengals Up 20-Zip At Half

So far, so good today

The Bengals have looked solid in the first half in Cincinnati, enjoying a 20-0 lead on visiting Arizona.

They could be up 26-0, but Mike Nugent has had 2 uncharacteristic misses on field goal attempts and is 2 of 4 on the day.

Andy Dalton has been productive and efficient in the first half, going 15-22 with 136 yards and 2 touchdowns; one a nice out route to Jermaine Gresham and the other a spectacular catch and run by Jerome Simpson.  Simpson will be all over NFL Network and ESPN tonight with his acrobatic vault over LB Darrell Williams into the end zone.

The Bengal defense has also been stellar so far, with 3 sacks of QB John Skelton and two interceptions.  They’ve also held Larry Fitzgerald to just one catch for 13 yards.

The Bengals will get the ball first to start the second half as well.

In other games of note, as of this writing the Giants are up on the Jets 10-7 as the last seconds of the first half are melting away in the Meadowlands.
