Who Dey GamePlan: Ravens @ Bengals

Matchup Problem:  Torrey Smith, WR.

Smith burned the Bengals in their last game for a number of big plays. He has game-breaking speed and should get a few extra opportunities with Anquan Boldin out due to injury. The Cincinnati safeties will have to stay deep in order to prevent the big plays that could shift the momentum into the Ravens favor.

Player to Watch:  A.J. Green, WR

Green missed the first Baltimore game after landing awkwardly on his knee the week before. In his absence, Andre Caldwell, Jerome Simpson, and Jermaine Gresham had solid games. With Green back, the Bengals could exploit a Baltimore secondary that is susceptible outside of Ed Reed. Green, who was just named to the Pro Bowl, should get plenty of targets in this week’s contest.

How the Bengals can win:  Put the heat on Joe Flacco. Flacco has struggled mightily at Paul Brown Stadium and with some pressure from the Bengals defensive line, that trend could continue. The Bengals will have to avoid the costly turnovers and penalties that have stalled them in recent weeks and play a rather mistake-free game to win. I see a low scoring game much different than the aerial assault that took place in Baltimore.

Let’s hope the breaks go the Bengals way and there’s another game to discuss next week.

Who Dey.
