With the game on Saturday approaching rather quickly, I thought it might be interesting to look at some of the challenges the Bengals will face in their quest to win their first playoff game in about 20 years. The first one, is penalties.
Cincinnati has been a bit undisciplined all year and seem to be even more lacking when the team is in the red zone. With Houston playing in its first playoff game ever, you can expect the crowd to be absolutely bananas. Quite frankly, the environment is perfect for false starts from the opposing team. The Bengals can’t afford them.
In the playoffs, every mistake is amplified. And if Cincinnati hopes to advance, they have to avoid them.
