Projecting The Offensive Roster (Revisited)

Now that OTAs are in the books and with mandatory minicamp set to begin, now is a good time to revisit the roster projections that I made last month and see how the battle leaders are changing. I have included the list with a few roster updates. As always, your thoughts on my breakdown are welcomed and encouraged.

Some notes on my projections:

QB: I thought that the former UC product Tony Pike would seize on the opportunity to make an NFL roster, but his past injuries seem to have doomed any chance for him to play in the league. On the flip side, Tyler Hansen, who I thought had little chance to make the cut, got some nice press in OTAs.

OL: The addition of Reggie Stephens will make for a very interesting numbers problem among the offensive linemen. Either he, Boling or Hudson will have to go. That is going to be a really tough call.

WR: Armon Binns continues to have good things said about him. Odds are strong that he will be moving up when we update the projections after minicamp.

RB: I keep questioning myself for having a solid special teams piece in Cedric Peerman missing the roster. They need a speedier guy like Stewart to back up Scott, but can he provide the same production as Peerman on teams?
