How the Bengals will beat the Chiefs

At the beginning of the season, I thought the Chiefs were going to be a much better team than what they have achieved this far. They have a good line on both sides of the ball, solid linebackers and secondary. Great running back, top tier wide out. What they don’t have is a quarterback.

The Chiefs are really good this season at giving the ball away.  Matt Cassel is an interception machine and this is why they have only one win.

The game plan to beat the Chiefs is simple. Stop the run, and pressure the QB. 2 things the Bengals are incredibly good at this season. I expect to see a ton of pressure on Cassel and the secondary to look for opportunities to take the ball away.

To score on the Chiefs, I hope the Bengals attack much the same as they did last week.  I want them to check down, use all the receivers and move the ball. Last week we were gifted with short fields, but I think the Bengals had a good game plan for extended drives had they needed it.

As long as the Bengals don’t give the ball away, they should come off this win fairly easy. I call Bengals 20 and Chiefs 16.
