In advance of this year’s draft and my upcoming book, here’s Day 20 of the countdown.
Did you know?
There’s a a fantasy game at www.playthedraft.com where you create a portfolio featuring stocks of different players and attempt to accumulate as much money as possible as those stocks fluctuate during the draft process.
According to ScoutsInc., Alabama offensive tackle D.J. Fluker is rated as the 21st best prospect in the draft, but the Bengals don’t really need him unless they fail to sign Andre Smith. Instead, with a roster that has very few holes, the Bengals should instead pounce on a player who falls unexpectedly during the draft. That group could include Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro, who hasn’t run great 40 times during the draft process, or someone like Alec Ogeltree, who would be drafted much higher if it weren’t for some off-the-field issues.
