Return of ‘The Terminator’

John Conner

The Bengals signed John Conner, aka The Terminator, to a two year contract Saturday after placing fullback Chris Pressley on injured reserve after he suffered a knee injury in the Thursday night win against the Eagles.

Bengals Finally Solve Jets

Hanging out with Brian Sparkman, aka @WFD816, and his brother at the Bengals-Jets game.

As a senior in high school, I tried to like the Jets.  I had purchased a Jets hat because the green matched my Meade County letterman jacket, and my favorite player, Boomer Esiason, was traded to the Jets for a third round pick.  Luckily, I was able to find new favorite players and continue to [...]

Bengals Make Nice Showing In Pro Bowl

A kiss is just a kiss if it follows disappointment like our 2012 playoff stinker.

Watching the Pro Bowl for a Bengals fan is like kissing a girl goodnight after a horrible date.  There is a big buildup, then a big letdown, and then you kiss her because it is the customary thing to do even though it means nothing and you should probably cut your losses and look forward [...]

The Infinite Sadness

Oh, the torment bred in the race, the grinding scream of death and the stroke that hits the vein, the haemorrhage none can staunch, the grief, the curse no man can bear. ~ Aeschylus, The Libation Bearers

There are some feelings that aren’t easily described, but I definitely felt them today.  I didn’t expect to feel them, but they crept up on me and I just can’t quite shake them.  When Andy Dalton’s pass was gobbled up by rookie defensive end J.J. Watt, I felt a little twinge of panic, but that [...]

Bengals vs. Ravens: A Date with Destiny?

The band played on this season, even as many of the Bengal nation sought lifeboats...

I have been watching the Bengals for over 20 years, and I must say that there have been very few times that I felt like the stars were aligned in our favor.  This team is as star-crossed as any in professional sports.  There have been miserable, pathetic seasons like most of the 1990s, near misses [...]

Realistic Playoff Scenario – Bengals Get In With Help

The Bengals crashed and burned against the Texans, but there is still hope...

The disaster that was the loss to the Texans last week really took the air out of the Bengals balloon, but it did not end our playoff chances.  While we are eliminated from contention for the division title, a wild card berth is still within reach, though just barely. The Jets, at 8-5, are a [...]

Realistic Playoff Scenario – Bengals @ Raiders

I would love another shot at the Raiders to avenge the loss in 1991 and put Palmer in his place.

While the Bengals will be eliminated from the Division Title race with any Steelers win, it’s time to turn our attention to what the Realistic Playoff Scenarios might be if we can make it as a wild card.  Here is one of them…

This Week’s Game Is A Big One

The Bengals can't afford to lose to scrub teams like the Browns.

A few weeks ago on the Who Dey Weekly Podcast, Nick, Mickey and I discussed whether or not the Pittsburgh game was one of the most important regular season games in Bengals team history.  While Mickey and I didn’t think that it was, Nick made a strong argument about how that game was key to [...]

Week Nine Fantasy Roundup

The Dalton to Green combo has been awesome in real life, but the fantasy team is in last place.

Siegfried and Rey kept rolling in week nine of fantasy football, posting a 82-63 win over Jovi’s Jungle and stretching their lead to 2 games over a pack of teams tied at 6-3.
